A leading manufacturing business East Kent is currently looking to appoint a permanent Purchasing & Supply Chain Manager for their business. Successful applications will be within a commutable distance from site and will ideally live in Canterbury, Whitstable, Thanet, Dover, Folkestone, Ashford, Maidstone, Medway or Sittingbourne.
Paying £60,000 plus/annum depending on your level of experience plus bonus and a number of other benefits.
The Purchasing & Supply Chain Manager's role will be responsible managing a team of buyers, the role will see you collaborating with suppliers, an operational focusing on managing the inventory on site from placing the order, setting the plans and forecast, OTD from the Suppliers.
You will have significant manufacturing experience - being a confident leader who will be instrumental in delivering projects in time and on budget whilst driving rapid improvement events whilst making sure that the process for inward coming goods all runs smoothly, and ensuring clearance and freight terms are correctly applied and managed.
Experience and Skills Required:
* Use of SAP or an equivalent ERP system
* Direct Supplier contact – expediting orders, dealing with delays, issues directly with suppliers
* Management of buyers – must have experience working with a team of buyers
* Mid-high volume manufacturing experience – preferably with mechanical engineering
* Inventory management
* Microsoft applications required - Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint
