Job summary Exceptional GP opportunity at Bruton Surgery for 2 sessions per week, to be worked on a Friday. Salary: Between £11,000 - £14,000 per session - based on experience and level of GP role undertaken in practice. Our practice list of 6,000 patients is small enough for you to know our patients, but were also part of Symphony, the largest GP provider in Somerset, so benefit from the experience and learning across a network of 19 practices. As a practice, we provide care as a multi-disciplinary team including GPs and ANP's and are supported by MSK physio, dermatology specialist and social prescribers. We are a small, country practice in a rural idyll with the support of a network of practices behind you so you can concentrate on patient care. We have fast links to London, Bristol, Exeter and Bath by rail or road. And Bristol, Bournemouth, Southampton and Exeter International Airport links Somerset to the world. Bruton has established a reputation for excellent properties; as have many surrounding villages and hamlets. Visit Somerset website says, Bruton is a bit of a one off, even more so than every Somerset town with first class eateries and restaurants, fine shops, local artistic ventures, and excellent private and state schools including three boarding schools. Main duties of the job You would undertake all the clinical duties associated with a GP working in primary care, without the responsibilities and risks associated with being a partner. We can offer opportunities from trainee through salaried to consultant level GP posts depending on your experience and the level of responsibility you take on at the practice. All GPs working for us are paid as Employees, unlike Partners, which means less risk for you and more time to focus on patient care. We put patients first, with our Employed and Consultant GPs working flexibly according to need, so contributing to areas such as QOF, QI and research projects providing a huge amount of variety to the role. However, our Salaried GPs have a clearly defined job plan setting out the hours of work and responsibility and tasks associated with the role. About us Symphony Healthcare Services was established in 2016 as part of the award-winning Symphony Programme Vanguard, developing new models of care. We now support 19 practices across Somerset providing care for 134,000 patients. We are a subsidiary of Yeovil Hospital, and providing NHS services is at the heart of what we do. Our vision is to ensure that primary care is sustainable for patients and practices in Somerset, and we aim to be a national exemplar for primary care provision. We work closely with our practice teams to support, develop and transform patient care and working practices with innovation and technology at the heart of what we do. By working at scale in primary care in Somerset we can offer you the opportunity to develop specialist skills with the support of a larger organisation to develop your GP career. Key Benefits So that our GPs achieve the life balance they deserve, and are rewarded for their skills and experience, and flourish as individuals, we offer: Flexible roles and working options.
