You'll join as a Collections and House Officer at Hanbury Hall, bringing to life the history and significance of this much-loved place. You'll also be a Duty Manager working within a rota with 8 other Duty Managers. In this role you'll be responsible for the day to day operation of the property. You'll learn about the day to day management of a busy site, emergency response and building key relationships across a busy property. You'll work across 5 days and weekend working is essential. What it's like to work here You'll mainly be based at Hanbury with time at Greyfriars worked on a rota basis. You'll work closely with 2 Collections Assistants and a dedicated team of volunteers. Report to the Collections and House Manager, you'll build close working relationships with the wider property teams at both sites. Click here for more information about this location What you'll be doing As the Collections and House Officer, you'll be responsible for opening the house every day, and making sure there are enough people in the right places to give visitors a consistently good experience. Supervised by a Collections and House Manager and working with two Collections Assistants and a team of volunteers, you'll be responsible for routine conservation, preventive conservation and the annual programme of deep cleaning. Your attention and expertise will help to ensure excellent standards of care throughout the house. You'll collect and record information gathered during cleaning and housekeeping, to improve our knowledge and understanding of the house and all that's in it. You'll use preventive conservation methods to improve how we look after everything, and how we present it to visitors. You'll also be working at our sister site, Greyfriars, in the heart of Worcester city centre on a rota basis with the rest of the team.
