OBM are currently seeking a Warehouse Operative for our client based at their Warehouse in Dyce on a 6 month contracted basis. Job Purpose: As a Warehouse Operative, you will be a vital part of our logistics team, ensuring the efficient management of inventory, from receipt to preparation for shipment. Your role will involve maintaining high operational standards and delivering exceptional service through collaboration with both internal teams and external partners. Key Responsibilities: Build and maintain strong working relationships with both internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth operations in receiving, storing, maintaining, and preparing materials for shipment. Act as the main point of contact for onshore and offshore teams, responding to queries and issues quickly and accurately. Manage inventory by processing work orders, tracking stock movements, handling returns, overseeing repairs, and managing scrap disposals. Coordinate work orders with shipping schedules, ensuring timely and efficient processing. Organize transportation, inspection, repair, or relocation of inventory as required. Ensure stock accuracy by operating the SAP system and maintaining precise records of inventory. Conduct regular stock counts, investigate any discrepancies, and take appropriate corrective actions. Pack materials to meet shipping requirements and ensure compliance with relevant standards. Coordinate the movement of materials to quayside for shipment and ensure all necessary documentation is completed for offshore shipments. Handle airfreight manifesting and complete the CST (Cargo Shipment Tracking) for material shipments. Perform ad-hoc duties as required in line with training and competency assessments. Work with the team to identify areas for improvement and implement changes that enhance efficiency and reduce errors, learning from past experiences and trends. Develop and maintain positive, professional relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally. Follow up professionally on any customer queries, ensuring tasks are completed within agreed timescales Take personal responsibility for completing Leading Safety Indicators (LSIs) and ensure a strong focus on safety. Maintain excellent housekeeping across the warehouse, ensuring a safe working environment with clear segregation between personnel and equipment. Minimum Qualifications: Standard Grades / National 5 (or equivalent) Counterbalance Forklift Truck (0-5T, 5-15T) Required Skills and Competencies: Strong communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing priorities and workloads Self-motivated with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving Capable of working independently and contributing positively to the wider team Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and an ability to handle multiple tasks Knowledge of health and safety regulations, including Oil Spill Response, Dangerous Goods Awareness, COSHH, and Manual Handling Experience with CCU packing and understanding relevant industry standard
