Welding Engineer responsible for assisting in welding discipline, specification, and documentation, with international travel required.
The Graduate Welding Engineer is responsible for assisting the Welding Engineers on the welding discipline either for tender, project execution or for R&D project. They will assist with the specification and requirements, qualifications of welding procedures, welding equipment and consumable selection as well as to ensure appropriate documentation is in place.
Key Responsibilities
* Fulfilling project welding activities in a cost-efficient, effective and safe manner, with international travel required.
* Monitoring and collating data from R&D materials and welding projects, providing budget-estimates and firm offers for tenders, projects or internal clients with respect to welding activities and equipment.
* Review of technical specifications for tender/contract purposes, determining cost, quality and cycle time impact.
* Calculation of welding cycle times for pipeline installation rate estimates for tender and planning purposes.
* QC and Inspection functions during WPQT, WQ and Welding Development, monitoring of production welding on site may be required.
* Occasional travel to worksites may be required.

Requirements
Education
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent in welding / materials engineering or equivalent level through experience.
Experience
* Experience of Mechanical/Electrical Engineering is preferred.
Skills & Knowledge
* Must be willing to undertake offshore survival.
The requirement to travel 20% of time.
