Job Title: QA/Technical Manager
Salary: Up to £45,000 PA
Location: Morecambe
Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 17:00 (1-hour break) with some flexibility
Holiday: 30 days paid holiday (including bank holidays)
Overview:
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated QA/Technical Manager to join my client's technical team. The ideal candidate will oversee technical operations, ensure compliance with quality assurance standards, and implement HACCP protocols. This role requires a keen analytical mind to assess processes and improve efficiencies within the organisation. You will work closely with the production teams to maintain high-quality standards while driving innovation and excellence.
Responsibilities:
Provide guidance and support to ensure optimal technical performance.
Develop, implement, and monitor quality assurance protocols to ensure compliance with industry standards, customer COPs, and BRCGS.
Oversee the application of HACCP principles throughout production processes.
Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to quality standards.
Analyse data related to production processes, quality control, and product specifications to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance product development and resolve technical issues.
Prepare detailed reports on quality metrics, process improvements, and compliance status for management review.
Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to inform strategic decision-making.Experience:
Proven experience in a technical supervisory role within a relevant industry (High care/Ready Meals).
Experience in ready meal production is advantageous.
Strong understanding of quality assurance principles and HACCP regulations.
Demonstrated ability to analyse complex data sets and derive actionable insights.
Excellent leadership skills with a track record of managing teams effectively.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
Knowledge of BRCGS, GMP, and retail customers
