Job description Are you an Engineer looking to develop your skills and become a vital part of UK Defence? By joining us, you will integrate with highly skilled professionals to support some of the largest and most complex engineering programmes in the world. You will work at the forefront of marine technology, overseeing engineering challenges unique to this industry, while contributing to project success and providing support to the Royal Navy. Our opportunities will suit Engineers with experience and/or qualifications in several disciplines, including Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, Electronic, and Marine Engineering. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the Strategic Weapon Support System or the Launcher installation, ensuring the seamless integration of these systems into platforms. You will use your technical knowledge to oversee all aspects of system integration. This includes considering performance, time, cost, risk, and safety factors when making technical decisions. Additionally, you will ensure compliance with all Engineering Governance Arrangements and Assurances mandated by the SDA and Trident Systems Project Team. You will have the opportunity to visit shipyards, dockyards, suppliers’ sites, and submarines, gaining hands-on experience in diverse environments. Please note, these roles are demanding and may involve activities such as climbing vertical ladders, working at heights, and operating in confined spaces; suitable training will be provided.
