An inclusive school that caters to children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health Needs based in Bath is looking for Teaching Assistants to support children with behaviour and mental health issues. Graduates who have qualified in Psychology, Counselling, or Criminology are encouraged to apply, but candidates with relevant experience will also be considered! This school has great transport links, and the role is full-time, starting ASAP. The SEN students are aged 4 to 11 and all have significant developmental trauma, emotional needs, and behavioural challenges. The successful mental health assistant will be supporting each individual's wellbeing and personal development.
This is a FANTASTIC opportunity for the successful mental health assistant to work alongside the therapists and psychologists based on-site at the school. In this role, you will build frontline, practical experience with young people with significant needs and learn to understand how to communicate and support them through the help of trained professionals and experienced team members. Plus, you will gain invaluable experience working with Special Needs such as Autism and ADHD. This is a great opportunity for aspiring educational or occupational psychologists, therapists, counsellors, teachers, or even criminal justice officers!
The School is looking for a Mental Health Assistant/Teaching Assistant who can bring enthusiasm, passion, and experience to the classroom. They are looking for a SEN TA who will be proactive and adaptable and able to use their own initiative. Resilience and confidence to work with challenging behaviour is desirable!

The children in this school require a teaching assistant who understands their complex needs and is open-minded and up for a challenge. The children have varying needs, although emotional and mental health needs are their main provision. Suitable experience can include working with SEN children and/or adults in any setting, even on a personal level such as with family.
