Job Title: Assembly Industrial Placement Reports To: Operations Planning & Scheduling Manager Department: R&D, Assembly & Test About the Department: The Assembly team is where the culmination of over 1000 peoples hard work comes together Under the assembly banner, we are responsible for the final assembly of a vast array of mechanical and Electrical components as well as building the actual cars that participate in F1 races. Our team of highly skilled Technicians are required to work to tight deadlines while maintaining strict safety and quality standards. Role Overview: As Assembly Industrial Placement, you’ll play a critical role in building and maintaining state of the art Formula 1 Cars and Components. In this role you will have the opportunity to work at the pinnacle of Motorsport for one of the most Iconic teams in Formula 1. You will get hands on experience of what it takes to operate at the highest level. Working with some of the most motivated, dedicated technicians in the industry. Your Responsibilities: As an Assembly Industrial Placement at Williams, you will be responsible for the following: • Assist in the build, sign off, and service of components and car systems • Attend Daily Operational Performance Management meetings • Take an active role in continuous improvement initiatives • Collaborate with the other departments to ensure we meet production deadlines • Maintain our strict safety policies and exacting quality standards • Be able to communicate with designers and planners in a clear and concise manner Preferred Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate will possess the following: • The ability to understand complex technical drawings, proficient with using CAD. Basic understanding of how modern F1 cars operate • The ability to work in a team environment with effective communication skills. Attention to detail, able to work to high standards while maintaining safety and quality standards • Heavy background in mechanical, automotive or aviation engineering • Hands on Motorsport experience desirable • Good understanding of technical drawings & CAD • Positive attitude and a flexible approach to work • Team player who is always willing to help What can Williams offer?
