The Opportunity:
We are looking for an Audio Visual Senior Project Manager to join a leading venue in Birmingham, where you’ll oversee and manage the AV production for a diverse range of high-profile events. As the Senior Project Manager, you’ll play a key role in leading a talented team, delivering technical support, and driving the operational success of events at this premier venue.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong background in AV production, leadership, and client relationship management to shape the future of this iconic venue and contribute to its growth and success.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and develop a team of AV technicians, ensuring high performance and professional growth.
* Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, ensuring outstanding service and technical delivery for live, virtual, and hybrid events.
* Oversee all technical production within the venue’s event spaces, including rigging and AV support.
* Work closely with the sales team to ensure smooth client interactions from initial consultation to event execution.
* Prepare accurate quotations, technical specifications, and CAD drawings.
* Ensure all AV production equipment is well-maintained and ready for use.
* Enforce Health & Safety standards and regulations across all venue operations.
* Continuously drive improvements in service delivery and team capabilities.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Proven leadership experience in event production and AV systems, particularly in a venue environment.
* Strong background in building client relationships and delivering high-quality service.
* Expertise in live event systems, hybrid event solutions, and technical venue operations.
* Excellent organisational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* Experience preparing quotations, CAD drawings, and technical specifications.
* Hands-on management style with a passion for mentoring and developing a team.
* Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and best practices.
* Valid driving license and ability to commute to Birmingham.
