Are you an experienced accountant with a strong background in bookkeeping, reconciliations, and ledgers? Do you have a solid understanding of Xero and a hands-on approach to problem-solving? If so, we'd love to hear from you!Our client is a well-established company based in Hull, due to an upcoming retirement they are seeking a new Company Accountant to join their team and take on a vital role.
Key Responsibilities:
* Bookkeeping & Reconciliation: Ensure accurate reconciliation of accounts, cash allocation, and bookkeeping.
* Ledger Management: Oversee both the purchase and sales ledgers, with the ability to jump in and assist where necessary.
* Banking: Manage day-to-day banking tasks.
* Systems Transition: Help us transition from our bespoke industry package to Xero, which we'll be implementing in October.
What We're Looking For:
* Experience in Xero: Familiarity with Xero is highly desirable as we transition to this new system.
* Management Accounts: Depending on your experience and ability, you may also take on the production of management accounts.
* Hands-on Attitude: Someone who isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves and get involved in the details.
Support & Transition:
The company accountant will be reducing their hours and will remain on board to provide support during the handover period. You'll report directly to the Managing
