Based in Coventry, we specialise in providing excellent education and support to learners with diverse and complex needs, including Autism. Our staff are committed to enabling learners to reach their potential and fulfil their ambitions.
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Counsellor to join the College and support our students, managing a caseload which includes short- and long-term support, in the moment and intermittent counselling.
Support for our students may involve group and one-to-one support using a range of therapeutic modalities, including cognitive behavioural therapy, solution-focused therapy and motivational interviewing.
The counsellor will be required to ensure accurate statistical information is collated and provided as required, including annual service reports.
You will work as part of the College clinical multi-disciplinary team and your input will be required at the scheduled meetings.
To be considered for this role you must have a diploma or higher in counselling/psychotherapy and be accredited/registered with a professional body. You must also have at least 2 years post-qualifying experience including young people with SEND.
