What you’ll be doing You’ll act as the primary liaison for clients, stakeholders, and senior management, maintaining professionalism and effective communication. You’ll prepare and manage all pre-project documentation, including CPP, RAMS, WPTP, WMP, Traffic Plans, and Crane Lifts in addition to: Support the design team with review and adjustments to construction drawings before project initiation.Collaborate with the project team to procure materials, equipment, and resources, ensuring cost-effectiveness and availability.Oversee the securement of plant, equipment, CDM welfare, site security, and access equipment (such as scaffolding) for project requirements.Select and secure suitable contractors, subcontractors, and labour, optimizing costs and aligning with project specifications.Ensure all site documentation adheres to company best practices and regulatory requirements.Set up and manage the project site to comply with Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, CDM Regulations 2015, and all relevant safety protocols.Facilitate safety briefings, equipment certifications, inductions, and incident/accident reporting with the Health and Safety Manager.Promote environmental responsibility on-site, reducing waste and maintaining cleanliness.Monitor subcontractor adherence to approved RAMS, verifying qualifications and competency for assigned tasks.Manage project variations in collaboration with the project team, ensuring client approval.Oversee project progress to meet timelines, quality standards, and design specifications.Coordinate with the Quality & Commissioning Engineer on the configuration of monitoring platforms per client requirements.Conduct snag checks, addressing any issues to meet practical completion dates.Assist in preparing “as-built” drawings and the H&S file in collaboration with the design and project teams.Provide cost-related documentation to the finance team to facilitate client invoicing.Travel as needed to project sites nationwide, with occasional extended stays.Maintain any assigned company vehicle in roadworthy condition, promptly reporting any issues.What do you need to be great at this role? You’ll have at least 10 years of experience in construction management, with a preference for solar PV experience coupled with a degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent qualifications. CITB SMSTS certification and a CSCS Black Card are required. A PMP or other construction-specific qualifications are advantageous. You’ll have proficiency with construction management software, project management tools, and regulatory compliance for site documentation (CPP, RAMS).Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, Adobe, and Dash Pivot site management software.Strong leadership, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills to manage teams and stakeholders effectively.
