This is an exciting opportunity for someone with internal auditing experience or a background in internal controls assurance in a similarly regulated environment, or who may have worked in the private sector and is looking to move into the housing sector to truly make a difference to the lives of others. Following some positive internal changes, it is an exciting time to join the team and report to the Risk & Assurance Manager, as we continue to strengthen and evolve our highly collaborative and well established Risk & Assurance function within the Group. To succeed in this role you will have incredibly high standards and be a true advocate for working with others in a collaborative yet objective way. What will my working week look like? You will be homebased, living within the North West, within a reasonable travelling distance of our Head Office in Warrington, to attend meetings and training courses when needed. Realistically, you will be required to visit our Head Office approximately once per week. What will I be responsible for doing? First and foremost, you will be carrying out a programme of internal controls testing across the business using a risk-based audit plan to provide assurance of top risks and emerging risks. One of the key things about this role is to remain objective, independent and challenging whilst being supportive of key stakeholders across the business to help drive continuous improvement. No two days will be the same and you will have the opportunity to work and advise a wide range of stakeholders throughout the Group. And what would make me stand out from the crowd?
