Start date and end date (approx): This is a permanent position and is available for immediate start (flexible on start date based on notice period).
About us:
Concrete4Change (C4C) is an R&D company that is developing ground-breaking technology to utilise and permanently mineralise CO2 in concrete. Concrete is responsible for 8% of global CO2 emissions. However, it has the potential to become the safest form of CO2 sink in the world. C4C is developing and commercialising the most novel, practical and cost-effective technology to capture and utilise CO2 by mineralising it in concrete. This is achieved via ‘carrier materials’; absorbing CO2 from industrial processes such as cement flues, and subsequently adding the loaded carrier as an additive to fresh concrete mixes. The approach results in uniform, well-controlled carbonation of concrete within 100s of hours; increasing its strength, and permanently locking up CO2.
C4C has raised £4.5 million to date from leading VCs in the built-environment and carbon removal spaces and public grant funding from the UK government. Every concrete structure in the world can be a net-negative store for CO2, and with C4C's technology, we are turning this vision into reality.
