KS1 and KS2 Intervention/Booster Teacher
Prospero Teaching are currently working with a Primary School based in Portsmouth who are looking to hire a dedicated teacher for catch-up intervention work across Key Stages 1 and 2. This role focuses on helping children who are working below age-expected levels to improve their Maths, English and Reading.
As an Intervention/Booster Teacher, your primary goal will be to elevate student achievement. You will work closely with class teachers to provide a tailored teaching approach that addresses specific learning gaps.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Preparing students for end-of-year assessments
2. Supporting pupils across KS1 and KS2 who are working below age-expected levels
3. Planning and delivering engaging booster sessions for KS1 and KS2 students
4. Assessing student levels and collaborating with class teachers
5. Identifying learning gaps and integrating this information into lesson plans
6. Tracking and measuring student progress against objectives set by the school
We also welcome applications from teaching assistants or unqualified teachers with excellent classroom management skills and experience in literacy and numeracy interventions, particularly those who have worked across KS2.

Minimum rate of pay: From £140/day
EXPERIENCE
* Previous experience working in a UK School
* QTS, PGCE or equivalent
* Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued in the last year
* DBS on the update system or willing to proceed through process
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
Hold right to work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional child-related references
