37 Hours a Week - 39 Weeks Per Year
The Governing Body wish to appoint a well-organised, self-motivated, enthusiastic and hard-working person to work within the Science Department, providing technical support for Biology, Chemistry and Physics. The successful candidate will become an integral part of a highly experienced team and one of two science technicians. You must have a strong science foundation and the ability to produce and support A Level practicals, specifically for chemistry. Training in the working practices of the department will be given and there is opportunity for development in the post.
Qualifications/Experience – NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, and/or experience in a scientific discipline, good literacy and numeracy skills and IT knowledge.
You should have experience of working in a science laboratory within an educational or industrial environment. You should be able to demonstrate good organisational, communication and time management skills. You should be capable of working alone or as part of a team, with a flexible working approach.
