The Role In this role, you will work with the existing team to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of audit and accountancy services. This will include: Supporting seniors on larger assignments: Complete tasks allocated to the required standard by the senior. Receive feedback and apply it to future tasks. Managing smaller assignments with assistance from the team: Complete assignments to the level required by managers and supervisors. Delegate tasks to new trainees and provide ongoing feedback. Act as a role model for new trainees. Professional Development: Meet all deadlines set by your team. Follow the training policy to meet all professional exam and development requirements. Consistently produce results above class average in exams. Complete Initial Professional Development or similar work experience requirements as per the relevant Institute's guidelines. Complete and submit timesheets on time. Maintain client confidentiality and build strong client relationships. Support seniors and report to supervisors and managers. Delegate tasks to new trainees and assist with client planning. Essential Skills and Experience The ideal candidate will be well-organised, able to meet deadlines, and proactive in engaging with clients. You will also: Maintain high professional standards of conduct and practice. Stay up to date with changes in relevant guidelines and internal systems. Be proficient in IT systems including Excel, audit and accountancy software (e.g., CCH Accounts Production, CCH Audit Automation), Outlook, and Practice Management software. Undertake CPD and maintain an up-to-date CPD record. Be studying towards ACA (Professional Stage). Stay focused on exam study and assessments. Be able to apply knowledge of the practice, industry, markets, and client base to identify potential business opportunities. Effectively manage your time and responsibilities. Take ownership of assignments and maintain high-quality work. Have demonstrable experience within an accountancy firm in a senior audit and accounts role. Communicate clearly with junior team members about budgets and timescales. Use your technical skills to assess situations and propose solutions. Be technically proficient in audit with great attention to detail. Demonstrate a can-do attitude to problem-solving. Have excellent communication and advisory skills, confident in working alongside senior management. Be adept at managing and supporting teams.
