Job Description
As an OOH Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will play a key role in providing emergency and critical care to small animals during out-of-hours shifts. This is a dynamic and rewarding role that requires you to be calm, decisive, and compassionate under pressure. You will work closely with a team of vets and nurses to ensure that animals receive the best care possible during their time of need.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide high-quality nursing care to emergency and critical care patients.
* Assist in the preparation and monitoring of anaesthesia during surgical procedures.
* Carry out diagnostic tests, including blood sampling, catheter placements, and radiography.
* Provide ongoing monitoring and support to critically ill patients, ensuring their comfort and wellbeing.
* Liaise with pet owners, offering guidance, support, and updates regarding their pets’ treatment.
* Maintain accurate and detailed records in line with practice protocols and legal requirements.
You will be a qualified and RCVS registered veterinary nurse.
