The Role
As a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will support students with a variety of special educational needs including Autism, ADHD, MLD, Communication Impairments, and other needs. Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO, you’ll deliver targeted interventions, provide 1:1 and small group support, and help create a calm, nurturing learning environment. Your understanding of behaviour, communication, and emotional wellbeing will play a key role in each student’s success.

This role is perfect for a Psychology graduate who is considering a career in educational psychology, SEN teaching, or child therapy. You should be patient, resilient, and able to build strong, trusting relationships with students. A compassionate approach and a genuine desire to support young people with additional needs are essential.
