Applications are invited from suitable candidates for the post of band 6 Radiographer to work within the busy Radiology Directorate at Cardiff and Vale University Health Board.
The Band 6 post will be based across the sites of University Hospital of Wales (UHW) and University Hospital of Llandough (UHL) as MRI services are based on both sites.
The service currently consists of GE Signa Premier 3T, 3 x GE Signa Artist 1.5T, and Siemens Magnetom Aera 1.5T. The part-time post consists of 3 x 12.5 hour shifts over 7 days of the week.

Main duties of the job
1. To provide high quality images in accordance with Radiation Regulations and departmental protocols and procedures.
2. To provide comprehensive and effective day to day services within the Radiology Directorate. Plan and prioritise workload in area of responsibility.
3. To ensure that the daily workload is completed in an efficient manner and that all patients are well cared for.
4. To supervise work of newly qualified and senior radiographers, radiographic assistants, radiographic helpers, radiography students and other students/ staff.
5. To contribute to service development.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
