Are you looking for a school which puts kindness and compassion at the heart of interactions with children? A school which helps children embrace who they are as individuals? A school which is committed to providing a creative and memorable curriculum? A school where staff well-being is a priority? A school with a funny, kind and supportive team?
Carswell Primary School is that school and we need someone to join our excellent KS 2 team as a Teaching Assistant. You will be working in class, supporting small groups and working 1:1 on a rota with other members of the team.
Carswell is an exceptional school, an ideal community for you to spend the next phase of your career. We feel this is true for many reasons, but two stand out – our culture and the value we offer our children, both educationally and holistically.
We pay very close attention to the progress of our children throughout the year in all subjects. We are heavily focused on using this information to better know each individual child and what should be the next steps in their learning. We pride ourselves on being able to not just get the best of our children academically, but also to help them develop as rounded young people. We are confident that as a teacher at Carswell, you will enrich your own career development too.
ABOUT YOU
We are looking for someone with lots of energy, a ‘can do’ attitude, relentless positivity, a sense of humour with the ability to form effective relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
Prior experience of working with children between the ages of 3-11 would be an advantage but is not essential as training will be available for the right candidate.
Due to this post having access to children and/or vulnerable adults, candidates will be required to undertake a Criminal Record Check. The possession of a criminal record will not necessarily prevent an applicant from obtaining this post, as all cases are judged individually according to the nature of the role and information provided.
Oxfordshire Schools are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
