Are you passionate about supporting children with autism?
Do you have the skills and dedication to lead and shape the development of an innovative Autism Hub?
If so, Welbourne Primary Academy has an exciting opportunity for you!
Your role:
As the SEND Hub Class Teacher, you will have the opportunity to lead and shape the ongoing development of our Autism Hub. You will provide bespoke teaching and learning opportunities, enabling access to mainstream education wherever appropriate. Your responsibilities include overseeing the day-to-day operation of the SEND policy within the hub, coordinating provision for children, and liaising with staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure each child's needs are met. You will also support the Hub Manager in leading and managing the hub team, including designated teaching assistants.
To excel in this role, you will need an in-depth knowledge and understanding of SEND, particularly ASD, and a thorough knowledge of appropriate teaching and learning strategies for these pupils. You should be passionate about ensuring all children can progress in their learning with appropriate adaptations, confident in leading training and managing staff, and adaptable under pressure. You must be open to support and advice from the local authority, families, and other professionals, have high expectations of what all pupils can achieve, and be approachable, kind, and compassionate when liaising with families.
