Overview & responsibilities during eight-week summer Internship Programme This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience about the investment management industry with hands-on exposure to investment decision-making in equities, fixed income and real assets Involvement in portfolio company monitoring and supporting the production of internal updates Undertaking company and/or sector research and financial analysis Analysis of environmental, social and governance factors at the company or portfolio level Qualifications & requirements A penultimate year undergraduate or master’s student at university and on course for a minimum of a 2:1 / – completed and awarded before August 2026 A demonstrated interest and passion in financial markets, trading, and financial products The candidate should possess a broad set of quantitative, qualitative and people skills, and be a strong team player with high analytical, intellectual and problem-solving capabilities Knowledge of financial statement analysis, valuation techniques Competency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team Strong organisation skills and attention to detail with the ability to prioritise, manage and deliver on multiple concurrent projects Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English Equal Opportunities (including our support for Public Sector Equality Duty) Lothian Pension Fund is committed to promoting a diverse, equal, and inclusive culture and welcomes applications from people of all sectors of the community.
