Are you an experienced and motivated individual looking for a rewarding leadership role within Adult Social Care? West Berkshire Council is seeking a dedicated Team Leader to join our dynamic and supportive team, reporting to the Locality Manager.
As a Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective delivery of high-quality social care services to our local community. You will be responsible for leading and managing a team of dedicated professionals, providing guidance, support, and supervision to ensure the best outcomes for service users.
Key responsibilities:
* Oversee the day-to-day operations of the team, ensuring the delivery of person-centred care and support.
* Act as a point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders, fostering positive working relationships.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of service improvement initiatives.
* Monitor and maintain compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
* Support the Locality Manager in the overall management of the service.
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications, skills and attributes:
* Occupational Therapist qualification.
* Previous experience in a similar leadership role within Adult Social Care.
* Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and best practice.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with a diverse range of individuals.
* Excellent organisational and time management abilities, with the capacity to prioritise and delegate effectively.
* A compassionate and empathetic approach, with a genuine commitment to making a positive difference in people's lives.
