The Role: As a Biology Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver effective, engaging, and well-structured Biology lessons that meet the needs of all students. Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to help students improve. Develop and maintain a positive learning environment that encourages student engagement and curiosity. Collaborate with colleagues to create and develop curriculum resources and teaching strategies. Participate in departmental meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives. Promote a love for science and biology through extracurricular activities and school events. Essential Qualifications & Skills: A relevant teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent). A degree in Biology or a related subject. A passion for teaching and inspiring students. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to adapt and differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Requirements Have a fully enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one. Provide at least two professional employment references. Desirable Skills & Experience: Experience of teaching Biology at Key Stage 3 and 4. Knowledge of current curriculum developments and assessment strategies. A strong desire to be part of a supportive team working towards the success of all students.
