As a Support Worker, you will be a vital part of our Learning Disabilities Day Service, dedicated to supporting individuals with complex needs. Your primary responsibility will be to provide 1-to-1 support and befriending to people with learning disabilities, which may include offering some level of personal care. We encourage you to help those we support to engage with the community and participate in educational or cultural enrichment activities. You will play a crucial role in enhancing their health and wellbeing, promoting independence, and ensuring they have the resources to live life to the fullest.
* Hours: 27.5 hours per week, Mon-Fri

About The Role
Required Criteria
* Proven experience with adults or children with learning disabilities and/or other complex needs
* Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with a range of different people, including people who access services, relatives, carers, staff, and other professionals
* Ability to maintain confidentiality
* Excellent IT and literacy skills
* Ability to work flexibly including occasional evenings and/or weekends
* Ability to provide personal care
Desired Criteria
* Ability to administer medication (training provided)
* Understanding of safeguarding
* Experience working in the care sector
* Knowledge of Makaton
* Ability to drive a minibus
