Job Title: EYFS Teaching Assistant

Are you passionate about early years education and have experience supporting young learners in EYFS? We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our large and vibrant school in Bournemouth. You will be working with a team of experienced staff members who are committed to providing high-quality education and care to our preschool and reception children.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing educational activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
2. Provide one-on-one and small group support to children, aiding their learning, development, and socialisation.
3. Help to create a safe, engaging, and nurturing classroom environment for our young learners.
4. Support children with special educational needs and disabilities, ensuring they have equal access to learning opportunities.
5. Monitor children's progress and provide feedback to the lead teacher and parents as appropriate.
6. Prepare classroom materials, set up equipment, and ensure the learning environment is well-maintained and conducive to child-led learning.
7. Facilitate indoor and outdoor play, and assist with feeding, toileting, and changing needs as required.
8. Participate in school meetings, professional development opportunities, and parent-teacher events.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience in an EYFS setting is essential.
2. Level 2 or 3 qualification in Childcare or equivalent is desirable.
3. Understanding of the EYFS statutory framework and early years outcomes.
4. Ability to establish strong relationships with children, parents, and staff.
5. A patient, caring, and creative individual with a genuine enthusiasm for early childhood education.
6. Excellent communication and organisational skills.
7. Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently when required.
8. Enhanced DBS check, or willing to undergo one.
