Role Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will work a minimum of 20 hours per week, with the potential for this role to become full-time in the future. You will manage all aspects of accounts payable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices, payments, and reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Process supplier invoices and match with purchase orders.
* Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
* Prepare and process payment runs, including BACS and cheques.
* Monitor and maintain accurate accounts payable records.
* Respond to supplier queries promptly and professionally.
* Assist with month-end and year-end reporting as required.
What We’re Looking For:
* Previous experience in an accounts payable or similar role.
* Must have experience using Sage accounting software.
* Strong numerical and organizational skills.
* Proficiency in MS Excel.
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
