Job summary Deputy Ward Manager Clatterbridge Cancer Centre Liverpool Part time position, 30.00 hours, fixed term contract. Long Day 08:00-20:30, Early 08:00-14:30, Late 14:00-20:30 includes weekends. An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as a Band 6 Deputy Ward Manager in the Clinical Decisions Unit (CDU) and Hotline here at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre in the Acute Care Directorate based in Liverpool. CDU and Hotline provides care and support for acute oncology patients. As a nurse within our Directorate you will be able to develop your skills and knowledge in cancer care within our acute oncology emergency admission unit and our nurse led telephone triage service. We are looking to recruit highly motivated individuals with excellent organisation and communication skills, and ability to lead and drive change. The post holder will be supporting staff and patients within an acute environment and play a major role in supporting the ward manager in future nursing developments. The post holder will work between the Clinical Decisions Unit (CDU) and our Oncology Hotline Service. This position is for a Band 6 at 30 hours per week. Our opening hours are 08:00-20:30 with the requirement to work weekend shifts in our Hotline service too.
