Position Description
Position Summary: Teach one or more sections of introductory or intermediate German during the Fall 2025 semester.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and teach lessons that help students to develop reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills in German.
* Prepare quizzes, tests, and other assessment tools.
* Hold regular office hours to support student learning.
* Provide feedback and grades in a timely manner in Canvas.
Qualifications
Graduate degree in German or other relevant graduate degree required. Native or near-native fluency in German and English required. College or university-level teaching experience strongly preferred. Candidate should have a commitment of excellence in teaching in a Christian Liberal Arts setting.

The German program at Messiah University assists general education students in studying introductory and intermediate German language and culture.

The Department of Language, Literature and Writing is a community of faculty and students who pursue the call to creative thought, engaged discussion, perceptive reading and responsible writing as tools for the future.

Compensation
Salary and rank commensurate with qualifications and experience.
