Simply Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced Vocational Studies Teacher to deliver practical skills training in bricklaying, plastering, and related trades, on behalf of a specialist school in Scunthorpe. This full-time (40 hours per week) role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of young people, providing them with valuable vocational skills and pathways to future employment.
About the Role:
Deliver engaging and practical vocational training in bricklaying, plastering, and related construction trades.
Develop and implement individualised learning plans that cater to the diverse needs of students with SEMH and SEND.
Create a safe and supportive learning environment that promotes positive behaviour and engagement.
Provide practical demonstrations and hands-on instruction, ensuring students develop essential skills and knowledge.
Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
Collaborate with school staff and other professionals to ensure holistic support for students. About You:
Proven experience in bricklaying, plastering, or related construction trades.
Experience working with students with SEMH and SEND.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of students.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support young people.
