About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Field Services Engineer - Energy Solutions Expert to join our Yorkshire Region team. As a key member of our Service Department, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting gas-powered generation plants, ensuring maximum availability through maintenance, trouble-shooting, and fault rectification.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver efficient and cost-effective services to customers, ensuring maximum availability of gas engines and related balance of plant.
* Schedule and carry out maintenance to the required standard, avoiding unnecessary replacement of parts and engine unavailability.
* Respond to out-of-hours callouts in a timely manner, taking oil samples, labelling, and dispatching them to the laboratory according to agreed standards and procedures.
* Select, order, and use parts correctly, returning any unnecessary parts to store to minimize wastage.
* Maintain van stock in good condition, accurately booking parts out as they are used and reporting actual shortfalls to the Area Service Manager.
* Ensure liaison and communication with Area Service Manager, customers, and subcontractors on site is maintained at all times.
* Document all site visits and complete service reports in accordance with agreed quality standards and timescales.
* Protect and develop the industry standing of Clarke Energy by building and maintaining positive relationships with customers based on consistently professional dealings and attitude.
Requirements:
* A minimum of 5 years' experience in service engineering.
* High level of electrical and mechanical engineering knowledge.
* Gas safe registration and a reasonable level of IT skills.
* NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds Electrical or Mechanical qualification.
* Apprentice served engineer status.
