Comprising three iconic venues in the city, Belfast Waterfront & Ulster Hall Ltd (BWUH) has a pivotal role to play in supporting economic growth by attracting and securing business tourism to ICC Belfast as well as supporting the music and arts scene across Northern Ireland. As a limited liability business, it has a strong board comprising five non-executive directors and chairman and is seeking to co-opt a replacement non-executive onto the board for an initial tenure of three years. The non-executives provide crucial support to the executive leadership team to deliver on the business objectives around providing safe and world class services for up to 5,000 patrons on any given day across the three venues, as well as the commercial objectives, specifically the economic impact target of £125 million by 26/27. A key priority in the coming years is continuing to attract international associations and corporate conferences to ICC Belfast, which not only impacts revenue but the local economy as a result of increasing bed nights in hotels, growing footfall at key visitor attractions and driving restaurant, bar and taxi trade. To support these ambitions BWUH is seeking a highly credible and commercially focused individual preferably with a background in business tourism / conferencing. In addition to having contributed to commercial success and growth whilst diligently managing risk, the successful candidate will have significant executive or non-executive/trustee experience with a strong understanding and practical application of corporate governance. If you believe your experience aligns with BWUHs requirements and you can make a meaningful contribution to BWUHs strategic ambitions, please apply by submitting your CV below or for more information contact Claire Reid at 4c Executive for a confidential discussion.
