Behaviour and ASD Mentor with a Sports Background
Location: Bridgend | Pay: £12.90/hour (£83.85/day)

A respected SEN school in Bridgend is seeking a dedicated Behaviour and ASD Mentor with a background in sports to join their team. This is a meaningful opportunity to empower students, help them overcome behavioural challenges, and unlock their full potential.
Your Responsibilities:
Use sports and physical activities to encourage positive behaviours and engagement.
Mentor individuals and small groups of students with additional needs.
Assist students in managing behavioural challenges by fostering resilience and developing coping strategies.
Collaborate with teaching staff to create tailored behaviour support plans.
Act as a role model, promoting teamwork, discipline, and perseverance.
About You:
Experience working with young people, ideally within an SEN or educational setting.
Background in sports coaching, physical education, or a related field.
Strong interpersonal skills to connect effectively with students, staff, and families.
A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to behaviour management.
Familiarity with behaviour management strategies (training available).
Requirements:
Relevant experience in sports coaching or education.
A genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs.
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one through the agency).
Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
