The Role
We are currently looking for an experienced Break Press Setter and Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for programming and operating CNC brake press machines to fabricate high-quality stainless steel panels as well as having the responsibility to train others on how to programme and operate. If you have 2-3 years of experience working with CNC brake presses and the ability to read engineering drawings, we want to hear from you. Experience with Radan and CNC punch machines is highly desirable, but training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
* Program and operate CNC brake press machines to fabricate stainless steel panels with high precision
* Work from engineering and manufacturing drawings to ensure the accurate fabrication of components
* Use a variety of tools and machines safely, including guillotines, rollers, stud guns, grinders, power files, and drills
* Maintain a high standard of workmanship and follow quality policies and procedures
* Ensure safe working practices are followed at all times
* Promote a culture of continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to reduce cost and assembly time while improving quality
* Maintain a clean and organized work area
* Mentor and train team members to improve skills and flexibility across job functions
Essential Skills & Experience
* 2-3 years of experience setting up and operating CNC brake presses
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
* Experience with sheet metal fabrication and brake press machines
* A commitment to maintaining high-quality standards and ensuring safe working practices
* Strong attention to detail and focus on accuracy
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable Skills & Experience
* Experience with Ermak CNC HAP 3160 brake press machines
* Familiarity with Radan programming software
* Previous experience with CNC punch machines
* Ability to train and mentor colleagues to help improve team performance
Training Provided
