Involve Recruitment are seeking an entrepreneurial individual to establish and lead a new business unit focused on the maintenance, monitoring, and repair of a diverse portfolio of renewable energy assets. The Operations Monitoring & Maintenance Manager will oversee the efficient operation of solar, battery, and EV systems across the UK. This is a leadership role with a strong focus on building and growing a team to ensure optimal system performance and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities:
1. Execute and implement a commercial business plan to deliver service contracts nationwide.
2. Oversee the recruitment process and build a resourceful team to support business operations.
3. Manage and implement maintenance schedules for Solar, Battery, and EV assets to ensure optimal system efficiency.
4. Develop and apply Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and monitoring schedules.
5. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and manage timely repairs and replacements to minimize downtime.
6. Ensure full compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
7. Identify and implement software solutions to support business operations.
Team and Supply Chain Management:
1. Lead and supervise maintenance technicians and field service engineers.
2. Train and mentor personnel on maintenance procedures, troubleshooting techniques, and safety protocols.
3. Coordinate with third-party service providers, suppliers, and contractors to ensure high-quality work.
4. Manage work orders, service contracts, and agreements.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
1. Utilize monitoring software to proactively track system performance and identify issues.
2. Analyze data on system efficiency, energy output, and operational costs to optimize performance.
3. Recommend system upgrades and improvements based on data analysis and performance metrics.
Compliance and Safety:
1. Ensure all activities are carried out safely, adhering to safety regulations and protocols.
2. Conduct site and transport inspections to enforce safe working practices.
3. Stay up to date with industry advancements and emerging technologies that can drive efficiency.
Qualifications:
1. Degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
2. 5+ years of experience in maintenance, monitoring, and operations for solar, battery storage, and EV systems.
3. Strong understanding of electrical systems, including inverters, panels, batteries, and distribution networks.
4. Familiarity with solar monitoring systems and energy management systems (EMS/BMS).
5. Proven experience in troubleshooting, diagnostics, and implementing preventative maintenance strategies.
6. Strong leadership skills with a proactive attitude to problem-solving.
7. In-depth knowledge of industry standards and compliance requirements.
8. Experience with high voltage (HV) and low voltage (LV) systems is advantageous.

Work Pattern:
40 hours per week – Monday to Thursday 08:00 – 17:00 / Friday 08:00 – 16:00. Full-time, office-based role with regular site visits.
