What you’ll be responsible for
As a Compliance Analyst, you will be responsible for:
* Providing expertise for Water Services regulatory and performance measures, reports, processes and systems.
* Act as data owner for Water Engineering areas of data responsibility and reporting.
* Act as product owner and administrator for leakage systems, data access (e.g. WaterNet, Watercore, LMARS, P&E).
* Creation and ownership of data management infrastructure to meet Regulator expectation and ensure that data is ‘accurate, reliable and complete’ for external review including APR and PR processes.
* Lead on the creation and management of regulatory dashboards for MMR, Performance Reviews and APR – including ownership and wider support across relevant regulatory APR lines. (e.g. 4P.72, 4S, 3S.6, 3B)
* Ownership of data integrity and assurance processes to ensure the robustness and accuracy of daily, weekly (e.g. LOREOS, DMA leakage, USL reporting), Monthly and Quarterly (e.g. CCW, WAG).
* Technical lead on performance and regulatory data supporting internal business strategy and improvement working groups.
* Provision of data to meet Regulator requests and representation at industry wide regulatory working groups such as WaterUK and UKWIR.
* Creation of automated analytical solutions for performance and regulatory data management to provide a single source reporting profile, including the transition from Microsoft Access based databases to SQL and PowerBI based reporting.
* Ensuring process integrity, compliance and effectiveness through the development of standard operating procedures (SOP) for key activities, in line with LEAN and improve reporting resilience.
* Strengthening our existing process infrastructure and act as business data experts during periods of forward-looking systems change.
* Support the achievement of MOS through data improvements and limit associated penalties.
* Lead for the submission of regulatory data for AMP driven cycles including PR29.
* Building and maintaining working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to understand and plan for changing needs, in particular the performance commitment challenges presented for AMP8.

About you
Experience, Knowledge & Skills:
* Degree level education or suitable industry experience.
* Proficient in process management with a strong ability to develop control and governance frameworks.
* Sound level of understanding of Water Services functions and activities.
* Excellent interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to effectively engage within the team, with key stakeholders and with external bodies.
* A demonstrated business implementation ability to facilitate the integration of business risk with appropriate solutions.
* Experience in the use of Corporate data systems.
* Experience of actively contributing to relevant internal and external senior steering groups to ensure business expectations are managed and delivered.
* Experience of interpreting findings and presenting clear and concise written reports to Senior Management.
* Proven track record of successfully influencing others to achieve a positive outcome.
* A team player who understands the importance of ownership and accountability.
* Tenacity and self-reliance – possess the self-motivation and drive to produce a positive risk environment.

* The successful candidate will be required to participate in a standby structure as part of the role.
