This is an exciting opportunity to join a fantastic housing association, which offers flexible working and security and safety within a job role. The head office is based in Basinsgtoke, however this role would require you to travel around the South of the UK, and opportunity to work from home as well.
About the Job
Reporting into the Head of Support Services you'll be responsible for delivering an effective management of material, plant hire and equipment, providing a professional service to operational delivery teams across our regions.
1. Proactively manage supplier relationships to strengthen delivery of our service.
2. Lead on the van stock optimisation project, ensuring responsive teams utilise van stock and increase productivity.
3. Lead on the stock management project, partnering with the yards project to ensure stock protocols are in place that provide full visibility that strengthens usage and creates a full audit trail of a materials journey.
4. Assess all agreed price increases and provide impact analysis, ensuring all budget holders and managers are aware and can accurately forecast.
5. Identify and manage risks connected with the supply chain, ensuring all actions and checks are carried out in order to mitigate them.
This is on a 12 month, fixed term contract.
The role
6. Should ideally hold a MCIPS Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply or relevant professional qualification.
7. Demonstrable experience in supply chain management in a building environment and a proven track record of delivering value for money savings.
8. Knowledge or experience in Warehouse and Stock management desirable.
9. A good understanding of contract management with a commercial background.
10. Good negotiation skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers.
11. Proficient level of IT skills, including Microsoft Office 365 and Microsoft Teams.
12. Strong understanding of and responsibility for governance and risk management of supply contracts.
