Salary: £23,151.50 per annum, pro rata which equates to £12,514
Location: Ballymena
Contract/Hours: Permanent, part-time (working 20 hours a week) - ideally 9am - 1pm Monday to Friday

A bit about the role
As an Early Years Supervisor you'll be supporting the development of the play and learning services including providing a range of quality, play-based early years experiences for children under 4 years. Hours of work would ideally be 9am to 1pm Monday to Friday.
How you'll help to create brighter futures
1. Undertaking a range of home visits including promotional visits and/or visits developing play skills with children aged under 4 years and their parents/carers.
2. Supporting families to attend centre-based services by providing the accompanying creche services.
3. Engaging with families with children from pre-birth up to the age of 4 in the catchment area.
4. Assessing children's needs and creating service plans in partnership with them and their families to achieve their desired outcomes.
5. Being responsible for the planning, development and delivery of individual and group-based services, which support families in providing their children with the best start in life.
Let's talk about you
Are you resilient and have a positive approach to change and challenge? We are looking for someone with a 'can do' attitude to join our team. Ideally, you will have:
1. Minimum Level 3 NVQ in Childcare or equivalent relevant qualification.
2. Experience of working with children aged under 4 years including supervisory experience within a play and learning setting.
3. A thorough knowledge and understanding of child protection and Safeguarding policies and procedures.
4. Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with people of all ages and backgrounds.
5. An understanding of the physical, intellectual, linguistic, social and emotional growth as part of child development.
6. A passion to understand and support transitions for children.
7. The ability to travel across Antrim and Ballymena on a regular basis. The job requires the ability to travel according to the needs of the job, with reasonable adjustments, if required, according to the Equality Act.
