An exciting opportunity has arisen within Gilbert & Goode, an award winning new homes developer in the South West, for a full time, permanent, Customer Care Operative. The Customer Care Operative will work alone or as part of a team delivering duties on construction, maintenance and improvement work covering various sites across Cornwall (the role may require some works within our developments in the Devon area) Responsibilities will include: Installing, repairing and maintaining the Company’s building works and other properties as directed, ensuring that the quality of work meets the highest standards Installing, repairing, servicing and replacing products, including basic plumbing, carpentry, masonry works, wet trades and decoration for various contracts To provide a customer concierge service where required helping home owners with basic occupation tasks to help them settle into their new home To ensure excellent levels of customer service, taking all possible steps to accord with their reasonable wishes and taking account of any special needs. You will hold a CSCS card and have your 3 days First Aid Certification. You will have experience of successfully working in a skilled trade or the ability to demonstrate transferable skills along with experience of working in a customer service based business. You will exude a positive and professional persona and have the ability to work to program. You are able to organise your own diary, working under pressure to meet deadlines and remaining calm in high pressure situations. You must also have basic IT skills to plan, record and report using a laptop or tablet. The role comes with a company van and does require the postholder to hold a full clean driving licence. In addition the role requires a satisfactory Basic DBS check.
