Description
We are seeking a skilled Formwork Carpenter to join a dynamic construction client. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in carpentry with specialised expertise in formwork installation, making them an invaluable asset to our projects.
As a Formwork Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, erecting, and dismantling formwork systems required for various concrete structures, always ensuring precision and adherence to safety regulations. Your ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings will play a crucial role in achieving project goals efficiently.
This position requires physical strength, stamina, and a keen attention to detail as you work. You will collaborate closely with other tradespeople, project managers, and labourers, contributing to a cohesive work environment while managing your duties independently.
Responsibilities
Constructing, erecting, and dismantling formwork systems for concrete structures. Reading and interpreting blueprints, plans, and technical drawings. Measuring and cutting wood and other materials to specifications. Ensuring formwork is level, aligned, and secure before pouring concrete. Collaborating with other tradespeople and project managers to ensure project timelines are met. Conducting safety checks and adhering to all safety protocols on-site. Maintaining tools and keeping work areas clean and organised.Requirements
Proven experience as a carpenter, specifically in formwork construction. Ability to read and interpret construction documents and specifications. Strong knowledge of various formwork systems and materials. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Physical strength and stamina to perform demanding tasks. Familiarity with safety standards and regulations within the construction industry. Reliable transportation and flexibility to work on different job sites as needed.
