As a Lead Engineer, Electrical & Controls Integration, you will lead a work group managing the design and implementation of Electrical, Controls, and Instrumentation systems including MES, SCADA, and associated hardware solutions, site walkdown, customer interfaces, and implementation.
You will report to the Manager, Electrical, Control, and I&C Integration.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide oversight and direction to a distributed team of engineers and designers.
2. Support department leadership with offer development and project execution.
3. Develop the next generation of engineers to ensure future WEC bench strength. Mentor the team to aid in their technical development, project performance, and work satisfaction.
4. Engage with external customers, partners, and WEC senior management.
5. Support prioritization of engineering tasks by assessing project goals, execution time, and implementation costs.
6. Ensure best practices, lessons learned, and improvement are accomplished in project performance and margins.
7. Provide management team information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing engineering data and trends.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
2. Minimum of 10 years of progressively more responsible leadership experience required.
3. Communicate with internal and external customers and engineering groups.
4. The ability to gather and analyze input, evaluate alternatives, and make decisions.
5. Excellent team building skills with the ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
6. Leadership qualities and abilities.
7. Knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
