We work together as a team to communicate and share these achievements with a range of networks and supporters, but we know there is considerable untapped potential to amplify our work even further and to showcase our impact so that the value of youth work is never in doubt. We are super excited that this potential has been recognised, and with funding from the OnSide Foundation Impact Fund, are in a position to invest specifically in a communications and engagement role. Full-time (37.5 hours) £24,570 – £30,000 depending on experience Carlisle Youth Zone We’ve made a start, enlisting the support of a Director of Communications for a focused period of time in order to develop and set our Communications Strategy, optimise our systems and establish a methodology and tone of voice for are public and professional interfaces. Now, we are ready to turn up the volume and pace, and are seeking a creative, dynamic and mission driven individual to join us in the role of Communications and Engagement Manager and mobilise our plans. This is a unique role which will see you pivoting 360° amongst our key audiences; working with young people to safely establish a presence on platforms such as TikTok; curating content from across our delivery to show Patrons and supporters how their investment is making a direct difference; utilising data and narrative to articulate compelling impact stories; and ensuring the visibility and presence of CYZ within the sector grows and remains strong. FUNDED BY THE ONSIDE FOUNDATION IMPACT FUND Main duties: • Deliver a communication and engagement strategy that sustains interest and drives new curiosity into our network • Oversee the effective use of communication channels and tools, strengthening the CYZ brand so it speaks powerfully to multiple stakeholders and audiences about what we do and why • Collaborate with young people, team members and our wider stakeholders to co-create content focused on telling the stories of youth work; showcasing the contributions, achievements, passions and talents of young people and the role of Youth Work • Optimise engagement in CYZ activity, developing a robust articulation of our value against a range of local strategies and priorities, and building our reputation as a dependable and impactful youth charity in Cumbria • Manage our public and professional interfaces including our relationship within media and communication networks, establishing CYZ as a reliable lead in youth work and youth service provision
