Your new role This business is seeking a part-time Management Accountant to support their ambitious growth plans. This position will report directly to the Managing Director and Founder. The successful candidate will manage financial reporting, insights, and administration.Key Responsibilities: Manage sales and purchase invoices, ensuring all bills and invoices are paid, up to date and reconciled. Manage bank accounts, ensuring sufficient liquidity, monitoring cash flow and produce cash flow forecasts. Bank reconciliations. Maintenance and daily update of the Master Order Document which tracks all current projects. Prepare monthly financial reports, budgets, and forecasts. Post monthly journals for accruals, prepayments, depreciation and all sundry journals necessary to prepare the monthly Management Accounts. Ensure the business meets all of its statutory and compliance obligations. Drive continuous improvement of end-to-end accounting practices by identifying and implementing systems, policies and processes to improve financial monitoring and analysis. Identify cost-reduction opportunities that exist for the business. Develop strong and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders to ensure effective communication. Develop relationships with external contacts such as our accountants/auditors and HMRC. What you'll need to succeed Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience in an SME environment. Proficiency in Quickbooks and Microsoft Excel. Excellent organisation, prioritisation, and communication skills. Experience in accounts payable and receivable management.
