About the Role: We have a brand-new role available for a Value Optimisation Technologist at our chilled food manufacturing site at Rogerstone, Newport. Part of our Meals division, Rogerstone is a huge site employing around 1,600 people and is where we develop and produce a wide range of premium quality ready meals for major retail customers. It’s a highly advanced, impressive site and we’re now looking for somebody to join the team and play a key role in helping the business reduce costs and drive improvements. Working as an integral part of the NPD & Process team, you will be responsible for identifying, analysing, and implementing strategies to maximise the value of our products and services. There is a lot to go at and, working with our Process Manager, you will use your analytical skills and understanding of process improvements and technology, to identify savings across many areas of the business to drive growth and profitability. About You: This role has a broad remit and would be an ideal opportunity for a recent graduate looking to start a career in food manufacturing, or somebody with experience looking for a new opportunity. We’re, therefore, keen to hear from anybody with the following skills and experience: Ideally educated to HND or Degree level in a Food, Engineering, or lean related discipline, or with appropriate experience. Demonstrable understanding of the fundamentals of food processing. Able to identify improvement opportunities and drive change. Logical approach to problem solving and strong attention to detail. A team player with strong interpersonal skills, able to work well with colleagues at all levels. Knowledge and understanding of lean tools and techniques would be an advantage.
