The Wessex Foundation School is looking to recruit an experienced, enthusiastic and dedicated Education Programme Officer to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled person with excellent organisational and communication skills.
Working in a busy team alongside the Foundation School Education Programme Manager, Education Programme Co-ordinator, Foundation School Director and Deputy, the successful Applicant will support the delivery of the UK Foundation programme within the Wessex region. Working at a fast pace, this role suits candidates that are passionate about delivering excellent communication and administrative support.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will develop effective working relationships with key stakeholders. They will provide comprehensive admin support and leadership in ensuring the delivery of high quality regional and national processes. In this key role, the post holder will work across a broad range of activities within the workstream and portfolio as a whole in addition to supporting wider PGMDE activity.
1. Taking a lead role in the ARCP process for Foundation doctors. This includes setting up and maintaining spreadsheets, planning and organising the main annual ARCP panels and ad hoc panels throughout the year ensuring that reviews are held at appropriate times for the individual Resident Doctor.
2. Liaise with Foundation Teams at trusts within the Wessex region providing support and guidance
3. Taking a lead role in programme management of the Wessex Foundation School Programme, ensuring rotations are produced within the defined timelines and entered on the Trainee Information system accurately and communicated effectively. Including the organisation of the swap process and management of changes throughout the training year.
4. Provide support to the Education Programme Manager throughout the recruitment process
5. Provide supervision to the Education Programme Co-ordinator
6. Ensures that filing and data archiving is undertaken by all team members in accordance with organisational policy.
7. Creating, developing and maintaining specific webpages relevant to the Foundation Programme as required.

Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in-person.

13. Demonstrable experience of managing and co-ordinating projects in complex and challenging environments
14. Experience of drafting briefing papers and correspondence up to and including at senior management level as well as experience of creating and giving complex presentations to a varied group of internal and external stakeholders
15. Ability to manage own workload and make informed decisions in the absence of required information, working to tight deadlines and often changing timescales, sometimes at short notice and unexpectedly.
