Role: Activities Coordinator / Volunteer Organiser Hours: 37.5 hours per week Salary: £12.56 per hour (£24,557.94pa, pro rata of FTE) ExtraCare does not participate in the current “ UK Visa Sponsorship ” scheme, and we would not be able to facilitate sponsorship. As our Activities Coordinator / Volunteer Organiser you will have the following skills and experience: Activities Coordinator Ensure a varied, exciting, and dynamic activity plan is implemented for residents. Produce and distribute activity programmes. Encourage residents to lead their own interest groups / activity sessions. Assist the Lifestyle Manager with planning, organisation, and budgeting of events. Identify upcoming events, partnership working identify community issues and promote news/local events. Volunteer Organiser Lead on the recruitment, retention, and recognition of volunteers both within and outside of the Village in line with the Volunteering strategy and policy. Raise the profile of volunteering within the Village to staff, residents, and visitors. Work with the Activities Coordinator at the Village to ensure appropriate numbers of Volunteers are available to assist with events and activities. To develop partnerships with external organisations such as universities, colleges, and local volunteer centres to build the Villages volunteer base. To encourage residents to contribute to the running of their location through volunteering. To co-ordinate the induction of all new volunteers. To host an annual volunteer recognition event. Person Specification: - Will have an excellent opportunity to allow their imagination and creativity to lead. Of course, the successful candidate will also need to have excellent organizational skills and good understanding of financial awareness to budget for events and activities. Have the attributes required to lead the Activities Program and provide the right kind of support and encouragement for our residents to lead a fun and exciting schedule. You must have effective communication skills and able to build rapport with volunteers and residents. The ability to be an effective influencer and engaging. Good networking skills. Proactive and enthusiastic with initiative. You will need to be fully flexible as this role requires some weekend working and Bank holidays on a rota basis.
