Medical Receptionist and Data Quality Team Member
We are looking for a person who thrives on providing excellent customer service and patient care to join our friendly, energetic practice.
You must have excellent administrative, IT and communication skills and the ability to adapt to different situations as they arise. You will be part of a busy reception team delivering high quality support for our patients. Specific training is given although an interest in IT is preferable.
We are looking for up to full-time hours.
Main Duties of the Job
1. As part of a team, to achieve a smooth running and efficient surgery for both GPs and patients and to provide all necessary administrative support required by the Practice.
2. To provide an efficient and professional reception service during surgeries and clinics.
3. To ensure that all record keeping, both manual and computerized, is accurate and up to date.
4. To respect patient confidentiality at all times.
5. Running the appointment and associated IT systems accurately and to maximize use of available time.
6. Dealing with queries by reference to both computerized and manual records.
7. Clerical work related to the reception function.
8. Excellent telephone communication with patients.
9. Opening and closing premises, ensuring readiness for use and security out of hours.
10. Data quality - scanning patient records and incoming mail, ensuring they are saved correctly in the patient notes.
11. Identifying relevant clinical information documented in patient correspondence and completing any detailed actions such as arranging appointments, referrals, tests, and follow-up appointments.
12. Prepare documents for review by GPs as necessary.
13. Other such duties as required for the smooth running of the practice.
