Procurement Manager – Clinical Ancillaries
As the Procurement Manager in R&D – Clinical Trial Supplies, Clinical Ancillaries team you will be responsible for negotiating contracts with suppliers that secure favorable terms for procurement of services in line with the agreed business requirements. Leading strategic category management of their category, in partnership with the business and stakeholders, ensuring that all value delivered from the category strategy is in line with GSK and Procurement goals. You will work on the implementation of category strategies, identification of appropriate buying channels. Responsibilities also include identification/evaluation of new vendors as well as tracking and monitoring of service level agreements and performance standards for existing vendors.
In this role you will…
* Be responsible strategic category management activities
* Be responsible for contract planning, negotiation, execution, interpretation, and maintenance. Negotiate with suppliers and work with legal in bringing a contract from draft form to completion.
* Work across multiple countries, build strategic relationships with a network of GSK global stakeholders
* Manage / monitor ongoing negotiations with service providers
* Champion the sourcing group management process and policies across functions and links these to GSK's strategic direction
* Utilise complex business processes in all GSK supplier transactions, including all risk/regulatory/compliance requirements
* Implement and support procurement strategies to maximise supplier leverage
* Bring external supplier knowledge
Why you?
Qualifications & Skills:
* University Degree - Procurement, Business, Finance or relevant scientific discipline
* Relevant experience in outsourcing small molecule R&D services or other scientific services provisions
* Negotiations and contract management skills.
* English proficiency (written and oral)
* Stakeholder management experience at a senior level (as far as SVP) internally and with key suppliers
